Studio Management Software in London
GBP-native studio software built for London boutiques, VAT-aware invoices, MTD-friendly exports, and your existing Stripe or GoCardless setup left exactly as it is.
London's boutique fitness market is mature and crowded. Soho yoga studios, Shoreditch HIIT boxes, Clapham reformer studios, Notting Hill barre, north-London Pilates, most have already cycled through Mindbody, Glofox, or one of the boutique-focused British platforms. The friction points are usually the same: locked card processing, 12-month contracts that don't flex with London's high churn rate, payroll bolted on as a separate £40-80/month tool.
Chronix Hub takes a different shape. Every UK studio runs in GBP end to end, receipts, payroll, invoices, reports. There's no contract, you pay month-to-month and walk away whenever. Payroll is included, not a separate seat-priced add-on, and it handles the per-class-plus-per-head hybrid model that London boutiques actually use (£25 base plus £2 per head over 10, or whatever your structure is).
On the payment side, Chronix Hub does not process cards. You keep your existing Stripe account at the rate Stripe gives you, or your GoCardless Direct Debit for memberships, or whatever your bank's merchant terminal already does. Card swipes and Direct Debit pulls get logged as labeled payments for reporting, we sit out of the money flow entirely. For studios doing £15K+/month in card revenue, this typically saves more on processing than the platform subscription itself costs.
Built for London studios
- 1GBP end-to-end with 20% UK VAT-aware invoicing, VAT-inclusive line items, VAT number on the PDF, tax-invoice structure your accountant will recognize.
- 2MTD-friendly exports, revenue, POS, and payroll CSVs reconcile cleanly into Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage for VAT submissions.
- 3Bring your own Stripe / GoCardless / Square, Chronix Hub doesn't bundle a processor or take a cut. London boutiques typically save £1,000-£3,000/year on processing alone vs locked-processor platforms.
- 4No contract, month-to-month with a 14-day free trial. Walk away on day 14 or stay on day 15 at founder pricing.
Currency and payment labels in London
GBP end to end. UK VAT is 20% above the £85,000 turnover threshold; for studios crossing that line, Chronix Hub invoicing handles VAT-inclusive line items and the standard tax invoice PDF format.
Tenant-defined payment-method labels you can track in reports: every payment you log gets attached to one of your studio's labels, and reports group revenue by label. These are for record-keeping, not payment rails: Chronix Hub does not process cards or move money on any of these channels.
UK VAT registration is mandatory above £85,000 turnover, at 20% standard rate. Making Tax Digital (MTD) applies to VAT-registered businesses; Chronix Hub is not a bookkeeping system, but exports reconcile cleanly into MTD-compliant software like Xero or QuickBooks.
Pricing for London studios
London studios pay roughly £40/month for the Starter plan (USD $49 under founder pricing, ~£40 at current rates). All plans include payroll, POS labels, branded invoicing, and the client booking portal, no add-ons.
Full pricing breakdownStudios in London that fit this shape
Composite examples drawn from the London market. None of these are specific real studios — they describe the operational shape Chronix Hub fits well.
A Soho hot yoga studio
Two rooms, eight instructors, busy 6am and 6pm classes packed with city workers. Heavy on 10-class packs and monthly unlimited memberships. Owner wanted late-cancel rules with a real fee, £8 if you cancel inside 12 hours, charged to the next Direct Debit pull.
A Shoreditch HIIT studio
Three trainers, packed evening sessions, monthly unlimited dominant in the membership mix. Owner needed a payroll model that paid £25 base plus £2/head over 10, and didn't break previous payroll runs when she bumped rates in October.
A Notting Hill barre studio
Boutique format, smaller capacity, mostly local resident clientele on monthly memberships paid by GoCardless Direct Debit. Drop-ins from tourists in summer paid by card at the front desk.
A Clapham reformer pilates studio
Six reformers, four instructors, mostly 10-session packs sold to a young professional clientele. Heavy weekend bookings; weekday lunchtimes still finding their feet.
How Chronix Hub compares in London
Mindbody UK lists at £99-499/month with payroll typically as an add-on, plus locked Mindbody Payments processing at 2.9% + 30p. Glofox bills in USD and locks card processing the same way. For a Soho studio doing £25K/month in card revenue, the processing markup alone over standard Stripe rates is roughly £1,500/year, and that's before the seat-priced payroll add-on. Chronix Hub is month-to-month, payroll included, BYO processor, the typical all-in savings vs Mindbody land at £1,500-£3,000/year.
London studio software FAQ
Does Chronix Hub handle UK VAT?
Yes. Invoicing supports 20% UK VAT-inclusive line items, VAT-exclusive line items, your VAT registration number on the PDF, and the standard tax-invoice structure. Chronix Hub is not a bookkeeping system, so you still file VAT through Xero, QuickBooks, or your accountant, but the underlying receipts and invoices are in the right shape.
Is Chronix Hub MTD-compliant?
Chronix Hub is studio management software, not bookkeeping software, so MTD compliance technically sits with whatever you use for VAT returns (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.). Our revenue, payment, and payroll CSV exports reconcile cleanly into those tools, which is what MTD-registered studios need.
Can we use GoCardless Direct Debit for memberships?
Yes. GoCardless is the standard way London boutique studios collect monthly memberships at 1% per transaction. Chronix Hub does not run GoCardless integration directly, you take the Direct Debit through your GoCardless account, and log each pulled payment in Chronix Hub as a 'GoCardless DD' labeled payment for reporting.
What about Stripe?
Same pattern. You keep your Stripe account at standard UK rates (1.5% + 20p for European cards, 2.5% + 20p for non-European). Card payments get logged in Chronix Hub as Stripe-labeled payments. We don't bundle a processor and we don't take a cut.
Does Chronix Hub work for a multi-location London studio?
Yes. The Business plan supports multiple branches at additional per-branch pricing, and the Enterprise tier removes the cap. Each branch can have its own schedule, staff, rooms, and even its own client portal sub-page, while reports roll up across the studio group.
How does it compare to TeamUp or Glofox for a London boutique?
TeamUp is similar in philosophy, BYO Stripe, month-to-month, but doesn't include payroll on every plan. Glofox locks card processing through Glofox Payments and typically requires a 12-month contract. Chronix Hub bundles payroll and POS labels, stays month-to-month, and lets you keep your existing processor.
Will the schedule handle British Summer Time correctly?
Yes. Every studio runs in a configured timezone (Europe/London for UK studios), and recurring classes shift correctly with the BST/GMT changeover in March and October.
