Doha's boutique studio scene is smaller than Dubai's or Riyadh's, but it punches above its weight on per-member spend. A typical reformer pilates pack runs higher in QAR than its AED equivalent, and corporate wellness budgets, Qatar Energy, Qatar Investment Authority, the larger consulting firms, are unusually generous. Studios here need software that handles small numbers of high-value clients well, with branded invoices that look right going to a procurement officer at a government-owned enterprise.

Chronix Hub runs in QAR end to end. Receipts, payroll, invoices, and reports stay in riyals, no conversion needed. Qatar does not currently apply general VAT, so invoices ship without a tax line by default, but if and when Qatar follows its GCC neighbours into VAT, the same invoicing module already supports VAT line items, so you'd flip one setting rather than migrate to a new tool.

On payments, you keep your existing bank's NAPS-enabled terminal at whatever rate they negotiated. Card swipes, Apple Pay, bank transfer, cash, and corporate PO billing all become labeled payment methods in your POS so reports group revenue by collection channel.

Currency and payment labels in Doha

QAR end to end. Qatar does not currently apply general VAT, so invoicing here is simpler than its UAE or Saudi neighbours, no tax line on the PDF unless you choose to add one.

Tenant-defined payment-method labels you can track in reports: every payment you log gets attached to one of your studio's labels, and reports group revenue by label. These are for record-keeping, not payment rails: Chronix Hub does not process cards or move money on any of these channels.

Qatar does not currently apply general VAT (no GCC-style introduction has happened yet). A future rollout is widely expected; Chronix Hub invoices already support optional VAT line items if and when it lands.

Pricing for Doha studios

Doha studios pay roughly QAR 180/month for the Starter plan (USD $49 under founder pricing). Every plan includes payroll, POS labels, invoicing, and the client booking portal.

Studios in Doha that fit this shape

Composite examples drawn from the Doha market. None of these are specific real studios — they describe the operational shape Chronix Hub fits well.

West Bay · Reformer pilates

A reformer pilates studio in West Bay

Six reformers, two senior instructors, predominantly female client base buying 10-session packs at premium pricing. Heavy mid-day corporate bookings from neighbouring towers.

The Pearl · Group HIIT

A boutique HIIT studio in The Pearl

Three trainers, packed early-evening classes 5-9pm, mostly monthly unlimited memberships. Owner needed late-cancel rules per class type because no-shows in peak hours cost real revenue.

Lusail · Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

A BJJ academy in Lusail

Two coaches, separate adult and kids programmes, family memberships that bundle a parent and one child. Owner wanted payroll to handle a flat rate per class plus a separate retainer for the head coach.

Msheireb · Yoga / breathwork

A women-only wellness studio in Msheireb

Two instructors, small intimate classes capped at 12, drop-in heavy with regular workshops on weekends. Workshop pricing needed to be separate from regular drop-in pricing without juggling two systems.

How Chronix Hub compares in Doha

Mindbody and Glofox both bill in USD with locked card processing at 2.7-3.5%. For a Doha studio processing QAR 60,000/month through its Qatar National Bank terminal, that processing markup can run QAR 4,000+/year above what your bank already charges. Chronix Hub lets you keep the bank terminal at its existing rate and pay only the software subscription.

Doha studio software FAQ

Does Doha have VAT yet?

No general VAT in Qatar as of writing. Chronix Hub invoices ship without a tax line by default. If Qatar introduces VAT in future, you'd enable the VAT setting on the invoicing module and choose the rate, no platform migration needed.

Can we issue corporate tax invoices for Qatar Energy or QIA wellness packages?

Yes. Create the corporate client as a parent record, attach individual employee bookings, and issue one branded invoice for the package. The PDF can include your CR number and any other identifiers your client's accounts payable team requires.

Do you integrate with NAPS?

Not as a payment processor, Chronix Hub does not process card payments at all. Your NAPS-enabled terminal continues to handle the actual swipe through your bank. In Chronix Hub, NAPS card payments are recorded as labeled payment methods so reports group revenue by channel.

Is there an Arabic admin UI?

Not yet. Admin is English. Class names, studio name, and the client portal display name can be in Arabic if you set them that way. Full RTL Arabic UI is on the roadmap.

How does scheduling handle Friday prayers?

The recurring weekly schedule simply doesn't include classes during prayer windows. If you want to add a one-off late-Friday class for a workshop, you add a standalone session for that week. No special prayer-time toggle is required.

Can the client portal use Arabic class names?

Yes. Whatever you type as the class name is what appears on the public portal. Studios commonly run Arabic class names alongside the English admin UI.
